When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you sign in with Apple, we receive the information you authorize Apple to share.
When you use Invitum to plan events, we store event details, guest lists, RSVP responses, and any content you upload (such as images). If you use our iOS app, we may collect basic device information for troubleshooting purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve the Invitum service, including:
- Operating your account and delivering event planning features
- Sending transactional emails (invite notifications, RSVP confirmations)
- Processing payments when applicable
- Diagnosing technical issues and improving the platform
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Cookies & Local Storage
We use minimal cookies and browser local storage solely for authentication (keeping you signed in) and storing your display preferences. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
4. Third-Party Services
Invitum relies on the following third-party services to operate:
- Supabase — database hosting, authentication, and file storage
- Apple Sign-In — optional authentication provider
- Stripe — payment processing (when applicable)
- Resend — transactional email delivery
Each service processes data in accordance with their own privacy policies.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Event data and guest information are kept for the duration of your account. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.

You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Export your event and guest data

7. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), secure authentication, and role-based access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
8. Children's Privacy
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use Invitum (see our Terms of Service). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us so we can remove it.
Event guests may provide names of minors as part of their RSVP (e.g., plus-ones or family members). This information is provided by the adult guest and is limited to what is necessary for event planning purposes.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on our website. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
